In fact, aggressive hackers these days are causing so much trouble and mayhem that we may have to start using our mattresses to secure our money. However, in Psalm 71, we have a promise from God. June 8, 2013 God's Chooses the Weak - Pastor McCowan spoke on the subject of how God takes great delight in choosing those who don’t necessarily have all the gifts and aren’t multi talented. In fact, He chooses those who are often weak, flawed in ability, and possess certain shortcomings. Why He does this is to shame the wise, strong, and those who think they’re special when they’re not. June 29, 2013 Kingdoms in Conflict - This week the Supreme Court of the United States struck down a portion of the Defense of Marriage Act that made it illegal for partners in a same-sex marriage to receive Federal benefits. July 6, 2013 Self-Cleaning Clothes - Chinese engineers have developed a cloth that cleans itself. This could have a revolutionary impact on the detergent and laundry business. In fact, it is recorded in the book of Jeremiah, that sin became so bad in Israel that God had to give the people a very “bitter pill.” Even the sweet smelling miracle ointment the “balm of Gilead,” was of no use. In the same way, God today often gives His people medicine that doesn’t always taste so good.
